Word to the Body 9
We speak of a martyr’s death. We do not seek that which has already happened, yet in calling; see not our flesh, but He who we carry inside that shines forth. Do i fear death? No, for i died to my Lord and rose again in Him, in this body, this shell is not mine, for all i am belongs to the Lord. When they beat or kick or spit, it is not at you, But at whom they see, the one they fear most, the one who saved us from ourselves. They stab and shoot and tear at the one who has already died for us. My grief is my Lords grief; it is for them, for they are scared of who confronts them. It is our risen Lord shining in Glory through us that blinds them. The light is too bright for them to look with out shame, so they try to put out the light to hide a bit longer. We are all martyrs when we accept Christ Jesus and he walks in our place in us. What is a martyr, is it i? Even as this body is destroyed my life was received on a cross long ago. The only martyr here is Christ Jesus my Lord and Savior, Come Lord Jesus, Come. All Glory to the Son and Father and The Holy Spirit forever.
