For the past week or so, the Lord has been speaking to me about going back to work for about a year or two. That’s the way the Lord stated it: about a year or two. The Lord gave me the following reasons for taking off the year and for going back to work for a period of time:

1. To go back to work to build up finances for the coming financially bad years.

2. To test me in both leaving and returning to work (temporarily); proving that He was able to take care of me with finances during this time. (About two months after leaving my job, I received $30,000.00 from a source that was totally unrelated to the prophetic work that the Lord has called me too. At the time of leaving the job I had about $3500.00 to my name and no way I could see to support myself. I wish I had walked through this with faith, but I doubted God continually throughout this early time.)

3. To go back to work and save finances for the coming years as a sign to others that they MUST also prepare for this time.

I know that the Lord has only called me back to work for a period of time and not permanently, even though it looks like it could last two years or so. He also gave me this scripture:

1. After these things he [Paul] left Athens and went to Corinth.

2. And he found a certain Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, having recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. He came to them,

3. and because he was of the some trade, he stayed with them and they were working; for by trade they were tentmakers.

4. And he was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath and trying to persuade the Jews and Greeks. 5 But when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul began devoting himself completely to the word, solemnly testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. Acts 18:1-5 (NASB)

This was to show me that although Paul was called to work, it was temporary. This situation was similiar to the one God has called me too. To work at times, but also not to work at times. Much of the time not working needs to be spent in the Word and prayer.

Also, during the time off, I spent much time help my mother, who was loosing her eyesight. She is now in a home that will help her a great deal.
