Keeping Our Eyes on the Lord, Not the Storm

It is never the messenger who needs to be remembered only He who sent him… This passage tells us of our walk that we must take for there is no other way but His way.
Matthew 14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
In this we are shown to call upon the Lord to lead us to Him.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
In this we are shown to walk in Faith with our eyes fixed upon Christ only. This is the true walk and the only path we can follow through these or any times.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
In this we are shown when we give in to the Spirit of Fear (one not of God) we take our eyes off the King of Kings and we walk no further towards Him. We are told to Fear only The Lord none else. Walk in faith and He will hold you up.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
In this we are shown that only by Jesus are we saved even though we sinned, we cry out for His mercy and forgiveness. Have no doubt, walk in faith and keep your eyes fixed at all times on the Lord and He will keep you on His path to Him.
