Fighting Sheeps

Dear Sheep,

I know it is a hard thing to be a violent minded sheep. Yet we know from HIS WORD that we should beaware of our circumstances: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. We can talk about things like “Binding the strong man” but untill you see that it takes force to do it, little is really accomplished. Regrettably few truly understand that it is not by might or power that we prevail in the battles we find ourselves in. It is THE MOST HOLY SPIRIT that brings us to THE PLACE OF VICTORY. Victory over our flesh, over our thoughts, over our emotions. JESUS said if you want ETERNAL LIFE you pick up your own cross and follow HIS STEPS up the hill to the place of execution. John the Baptist said that he had to decrease so that JESUS who followed could increase. You have to die to live. You have heard it over and over…but it means nothing till you bend down and pick up your cross. AND THEN YOU FOLLOW. SHEEP FOLLOW BECAUSE THEY KNOW HIS VOICE. HE LEADS THEM to still waters and safe pastures…but THEN HE PREPARES A TABLE…in the enemy’s face…somewhere THE SHEEP HAVE CHANGED!

How do you make SHEEP and LAMBS into violent kingdom takers? How do you explain to a little lamb that it has to put on THE WHOLE ARMOR….one piece at a time. THEN TELL IT TO STAND ALL THE WILES the enemy has in his bag of tricks.

You figure a WATCHMAN “knows” his job. Except for ABRAM and Samuel…and maybe Moses…prophets were somewhat wussie. Maybe spent too much time on the run, or in caves, or in cisterns. Let me take that back about Daniel…he stood up against Kings of both Babylon and Persia. Got to give him credit…

Now we do have Joshua and Caleb…and David and Jonathan. But we can not really look at them as “prophets.” Plainly they were just men of war….which is maybe what we need today. Just simple straight forward men who put it all on the line because they knew it was what they were supposed to do. Actually there were a few gutsy gals back then too… Deborah, Rahab, and Jael….and Hadassah…. can’t forget her.

If we just had some wild and wooly sheep….selah dog
