Sometimes Lessons Are Meant To Be Hard

Years ago there was a ROCK GROUP called THE BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD. They had one song that has lived beyond their name. And it is that song that keeps going through my mind today. Why it is this song I have to listen to as I ponder what to do with what I have been given, is in itself part of the lesson. I grew up with the belief that a thing’s value was based on how hard you had to work for it.

For the lessons I am learning now are so hard, I expect the ultimate reward to be dramatic. Which is why I am continuing.

In PART 1 we saw a massive number of toddlers…ages 1-2. Children happy and perfectly safe in the presence of THE LORD. Personally, after the fact, I was embarrassed at my choice of songs to entertain them. But that was/is/will be my problem. What sane person would sing a rowdy song of drinking and carousing to babies. Until I was not so gently reminded that I had done this numerous times. WHEN THE MOST HOLY SPIRIT shows you snapshots of yourself, it is usually for a reason.

Babies do not care what you sing, or how well you sing it. Babies like to be held, rocked, cuddled….they need to be. For every time I sang TOORA LOORA LOORA, I sang WILD ROVER and BRENDAN ON THE MOOR. It quieted and calmed a baby that had colic, or was teething. Which is what it was intended to do.

Babies are resilient. Ask any ER MD or RN. But they are not impervious to what occurs around them. Which is why ABBA protects and watches over HIS BABIES.

Now 3 and 4 year olds absorb every thing around them. They rarely miss a thing and rarely forget things that hurt or frighten them. They can be very loving and very demanding. The term “TERRIBLE THREES” was coined for a reason. Parental survival through such stages is always a risky proposition.

Which leads me to the SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE of the LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD saga. It is now obvious how involved it really is.

So let’s start out with the basic premise: PLACING A CHILD INTO A DANGEROUS SITUATION. Granted the “idea” seems quite appropriate. A family sending assistance to an elderly, infirmed relative. It is something we all would do, right? But why send a 5 year old?

Now THE RED RIDDING HOOD is interesting because it is RED…and she did no driving in the story. Nor riding…so maybe she likes RED. Now after my confrontation, I wondered…..why send a child through a “SPOOKY OLD WOODS” in a glaring color? Seeing that there are wolves and possibly other predators, RED would be easier to spot from a distance. Most 4 legged predators are color blind, so RED would help search parties could spot the remains easier.

So that explains the title…but how to understand the actual problem. Would really loving parent send out a child burdened with “goodies” into a forested area? Each of you can answer that for yourselves….

In the SPIRITUAL WORLD the NICOLAOTIN CHURCH has sent out CHILDREN RIGHT AND LEFT for years into a world that they were never prepared for. Now THE KING NEVER puts CHILDREN into danger. Servants…is another story. But CHILDREN need to be “raised up” and “trained for service”.

Y’SHUA told HIS FOLLOWERS….Mat 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Few “fathers” in the “congregation of the saints” teach from this passage. Mainly because it is “dark”, “negative”, and no one in their right mind would be eager “to be sent out”. So let’s look at what follows Mat 10:17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; Mat 10:18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. Mat 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. Mat 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Has THE HARLOT prepared any children for actual SERVICE? Or for eventual slaughter?

Children can HEAR HIS VOICE. Some can listen when HE SENDS an occasional servant to teach them. Few will learn, and grow, and hopefully take their place as fellow servants in ABBA’S HOUSE.

This is only part of the lesson we are to learn. It will not get easier. So I hope there are a few out there who will receive.
