How in all the heavens people fail to appreciate GOD’S COSMIC JOKES? I have asked myself that only to realize how dumb i am. Really GOOD JOKES go right over the heads of most people. That is why they ARE really GOOD. The “joke” you heard 15 minutes ago and did not think was funny…suddenly hits you. What you are really doing is laughing at yourself for missing what now seems so obvious.
So, WHEN GOD TELLS ONE….and no one “gets it” does HE SIT BACK ON THE THRONE and laugh by HIMSELF?
SHAKESPEARE and the MUPPETS…
It started with “FRIENDS, ROMANS, COUNTRYMEN…LEND ME YOUR EARS. I COME TO BURRY CAESAR…NOT TO PRAISE HIM….” Now JESUS said…RENDER TO CAESAR THAT WHICH IS CAESARS….but now…we BURY….CAESAR…?
All this is in JULIUS CAESAR ACT 3…scene2…. but it is preceeded by the KEY…for me… Cry ‘Havoc,’ and let slip the dogs of war; That this foul deed shall smell above the earth With carrion men, groaning for burial. In other words all hell is now going to break out upon us….but when…
That answer came next with “TO BE, OR NOT TO BE…” it ends with… And lose the name of action.–Soft you now! The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons Be all my sins remember’d.
At the time all this was happening HURRICANE OPHELIA was sitting off THE US coast. So i had my answer to WHEN….right now.
Now Cry HAVOC and Fair Ophelia occur in the 1st scenes of ACT 3. “FRIENDS ROMANS…is middle of ACT 3 scene 2.
No big deal…all coincidental…sure? and finally AS YOU LIKE IT…ACT 2..SCENE 7… ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE…
ALL THE WORLD …2nd ACT…CRY HAVOC and TO BE 3rd Act…. which is where the SOLILOQUES THE LAMB spoke…. KERMET SPOKE “ALL the WORLD”.
Sometimes it takes time and effort to APPRECIATE GOD’S LITTLE JOKES.
Life is SEVEN stages…the # of GODLY PERFECTION.
The infant..
The student..
The lover…
….THE SOLDIER…
The JUDGE…
The AGED in decline…
The SECOND CHILDHOOD.
I think it is funny… anyone else “get it”
